El Paso families have more options this year for summer camps with the additions of La Nube and the Mexican American Cultural Center in Downtown El Paso. Museums, the University of Texas at El Paso, and El Paso Community College are also good sources of summer camps or classes to keep kids not only engaged but also learning something new. Most camps are designed for children ages 5 and up, and some also offer programs for teens. Most begin in June and will continue for a couple of months.

The Sal Y Limon Festival will draw thousands with a mix of popular Mexican drinks, cervezas, and tequila, along with tacos, mariachis, and live lucha libre. Also taking place Downtown will be Family Day Saturday, June 7, at the El Paso History Museum, 510 N. Santa Fe St. The museum will host its Pride celebration, featuring a variety of vendors.

The El Paso business community is mourning the loss of Cindy Ramos-Davidson, former El Paso Hispanic Chamber of Commerce CEO, who died Sunday, June 1 after a battle with pancreatic cancer. Ramos-Davidson left the chamber in April after almost 27 years there and after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. The Hispanic Chamber issued a statement of condolences.

Eloise, a contemporary restaurant owned by El Paso musician Jim Ward and his wife Kristine, is closing at the end of July. The restaurant has been in operation for 13 years. Ward shared the news on Instagram, saying in a video, "I want to share a little bit of news with you all. Our lease is up for renewal and due to some pretty chaotic economic conditions, we've made the decision to not renew our lease.""We did want to just take a second and say how much we've enjoyed the past 13 years.
