Exposure to secondhand smoke (SHS) is a significant health concern for children and adolescents worldwide.1 According to the Global Youth Tobacco Surveys conducted worldwide between 2010 and 2018, 63% of adolescents were exposed to SHS in the previous week, with 33% exposed daily.2 SHS exposure leads to lower respiratory tract infection3 and otitis media4 in children.
