Community rallies behind Mike Hendren in critical health battle Hendren suffered a severe stroke and underwent surgery, which made him face a critical health battle. According to a Facebook post on Friday, June 6, Mike’s wife let the community know that Mike passed away.

WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) — Fowler Elementary students invite the community to an interactive and educational experience through wax figures on Wednesday, May 14. The fourth graders at Fowler have worked hard on a project that will teach history through the fun experience of bringing historical and cultural figures to life through costumes. The Living Wax Museum is an engaging event, and the community will have several time slots to come out and support the students.

Rafael Reif, former president of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), explained that the workforce will expand by 100,000% in the coming years, at least in the U.S., but workers will need tech skills to keep up. Born in Venezuela, Reif earned his Electrical Engineering degree from the Universidad de Carabobo and later obtained a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. He served as MIT’s 17th president from 2012 to 2022.
