Takotsubo syndrome (TTS) mimics acute coronary syndromes (ACS) but can lead to serious cardiac complications, emphasizing the need for improved understanding and management. We describe a TTS case presented with cardiogenic shock (CS) due to ventricular septal rupture (VSR). Successful treatment involved mechanical circulatory support (MCS) followed by VSR surgical closure. VSR is the rarest and deadliest complication associated with TTS.

Anorexia reduces response to chemotherapy and the ability of patients to cope with, and complete their treatment leading to greater morbidity, poorer prognosis and outcomes. Despite the significant importance of cancer-related anorexia, current therapies are limited, have marginal benefits and unwarranted side effects.
