Fleet-management software company BetterFleet, with US headquarters in Ann Arbor, Michigan, has completed a Series A funding round of $15 million. The round was led by venture firms Aligned Climate Capital, Ecosystem Integrity Fund (EIF) and Remarkable Ventures Climate (RVC). The funding will fuel BetterFleet’s expansion across Europe, Asia-Pacific and North America, which will focus on transit, government, utilities and logistics customers.

In an effort to alleviate Europe’s current deficit in charging points and charging capacity for heavy commercial vehicles, Daimler Truck plans to enable its TruckCharge customers to open their charging infrastructure for external, paid use, starting in the third quarter of 2025. Plans include offering a system for planning, booking and reservation, along with additional cost benefits and simplified payment.

Singer Electric, a full-service electrical contractor headquartered in New Zealand, has collaborated with Bulgaria-based EV charging management software provider AMPECO to integrate AMPECO’s platform into Singer’s Apollo ecosystem. The partnership aims to establish the largest managed EV charging network in New Zealand by the end of June 2025. Singer Electric has already installed more than 2,000 chargers, and more than 500 of them are currently managed by the AMPECO platform.

Rhythmos.io, a provider of data analytics for utilities and EV fleet operators, has won a $170,000 grant from the State of Michigan Office of Future Mobility and Electrification for a pilot program focused on grid-edge optimized EV charging. The pilot will take place in the Grand Rapids service territory of Consumers Energy, a Michigan gas and electric utility company.

Battery technology company Coreshell has raised $24 million in funding to scale the production of its 60 Ah battery cells made with domestically-sourced metallurgical silicon. The funding round was led by Ferroglobe, a London-based producer of silicon and ferroalloys, and California-based venture capital firm Zeon Ventures. Other investors included Lane Ventures, Entrada Ventures, Foothill Ventures, Helios Climate Ventures, Translink Investment, Trousdale Ventures and Asymmetry Ventures.
