Laws and policies are essential to address violence against women. Global data from Women, Business and the Law reveal that comprehensive laws on child marriage, sexual harassment, domestic violence and femicide are lacking in more than 90 percent of economies. Even when laws addressing violence against women are in place, they may not be supported by policies to implement them.
