Topline: Workout groups, including biking in San Diego and running in San Francisco, are held specifically for homeless Californians. Why it matters: Living on the streets is hard on the body, and people without housing are less likely to get proper medical care. Nearly half of the unhoused Californians surveyed by the UCSF Benioff Homelessness and Housing Initiative in 2023 described their health as fair or poor, and 60% reported having at least one chronic health condition.
