Chelsea and Newcastle United are reportedly pursuing a potential summer transfer window swoop for Bayern Munich centre-back Kim Min-jae. The South Korea international has not quite been at his best since joining Bayern, despite previously impressing a great deal in spells at Napoli and Fenerbahce. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has hinted that Riccardo Calafiori is looking likely to be back in time for the Champions League semi-final tie vs Paris Saint-Germain. The Gunners enjoyed a memorable win over Real Madrid in the quarter-finals, triumphing 5-1 on aggregate against the reigning European champions. PSG are up next for Arsenal and could be a tougher test as they’re in superb form at the moment, so it would be useful to have a key player like Calafiori back.

Arsenal and Liverpool reportedly look to have been handed some good news in their rumoured transfer pursuit of Bournemouth defender Dean Huijsen. The talented young Spanish centre-back has been a hugely impressive performer for the Cherries this season, and it seems inevitable that he’ll soon be snapped up by a bigger club. However, it seems Huijsen already has it in his mind that he wants to continue in the Premier League rather than move to one of Europe’s elite.
