United Airlines has unveiled its next-generation Polaris products which will feature on the carrier’s new Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft in the coming years. United’s Polaris offering originally launched back in 2016, with a business class seat and subsequent Polaris-branded lounges in locations including Chicago O’Hare, Houston, LAX, New York Newark, San Francisco and Washington Dulles. Business Traveller recently reviewed the current seat on a Boeing 767-300ER flight between Heathrow and Newark.

With work nearing conclusion on Manchester Airport’s expanded Terminal 2, the northern hub has turned its sights to Terminal 3, and the future of its Terminal 1 infrastructure. The airport is set to unveil the final phase of its Terminal 2 revamp later this year, including new high street-style shopping area The Avenue, as well as a new security hall with 3D scanners, and a second pier with additional boarding gates.

JetBlue is celebrating its long-standing partnership with Boston-based coffee and donut brand Dunkin’ by unveiling a special livery on one of its A320 aircraft. The Brewing Altitude livery features Dunkin’s pink and orange branding complete with a donut and coffee cup-themed tailfin. JetBlue customers have been able to enjoy Dunkin’s Original Blend coffee inflight since 2006, and Dunkin’ became the carrier’s exclusive onboard coffee provider in 2011.

Plans have been unveiled for a new pod hotel close to Edinburgh’s Waverley station. OakNorth has provided a £10.3 million loan to support the development of the Tarka capsule hostel and rooftop restaurant on South St Andrews Street. The property will be housed within a vacant building next to St Andrews Square and close to the city’s Waverley Station and St James Quarter, and has been designed by Studio LBA.

Minor Hotels has completed an 18-month renovation of the Anantara Palais Hansen Vienna Hotel. The Viennese Neo-Renaissance property is situated on the Ringstrasse in the city’s historic financial district, and first opened as a hotel in 1873, before later becoming a public administration building and more recently returning to use as a hotel under the Kempinski brand.
