    Sophie Watson, who was 57, was found dead at a property in Ashgrove Park. It is understood she had sustained a number of stab wounds and she was pronounced dead at the scene. Detectives from the PSNI’s Major Investigation Team have charged a 43-year-old man with her murder. He is due to appear at Derry Magistrates’ Court today. As is normal procedure all charges are reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.

    Connor McNeill, 41, from the Glenarm area, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash in Broughshane village shortly before 3.30pm on Tuesday. He was described as an avid football fan and his local club, Carnlough Swifts, paid tribute to him online. “It is with a very heavy heart that we announce we have lost a Swifts legend, a good friend, a daddy, a husband, an uncle, a brother and a son,” a statement read. “Connor McNeill was tragically taken from us yesterday in a car accident.
