Austin Allred’s family has been farming the Royal Slope region of Washington state between Seattle and Spokane for three generations. He and his two brothers, Derek and Tyson, farm a combined 6,000 acres. They grow potatoes, cherry and apple trees and produce honey, while also running 10,000 beef cattle and milking about 6,000 dairy cows. The family also recently added a worm farm and a beef processing facility.

Agriculture does face unique challenges like few other industries. But we are warriors focused on the war, not quick to be decimated by the poor outcome of a single battle.

Etienne is a two-time All-Southern Hills Athletic Conference player (2022, 2024) and was named All District 14 as honorable mention (2022) and third team (2024). She earned spots on the OPSWA third team in 2022 and 2024 and was named honorable mention All-Ohio in 2022. Etienne ended her career with 1,144 career points.

West is a two-time All-Southern Hills Athletic Conference player (2023, 2024) and was named to the Coaches All-District 14 honorable mention (2023) and second team (2024). She earned spots on the OPSWA second team in 2023 and first team in 2024 and was named Honorable Mention All-Ohio in 2023.

By Mark Faust, Lynchburg-Clay High School Lynchburg-Clay inducted Wendy Martin and Laney Lewis into the Lynchburg-Clay Athletic Hall of Fame on Friday, Feb. 9 prior to the varsity boys basketball game. Wendy Martin was an all-around athlete for the Lynchburg-Clay. As a member of the Lady Mustang Soccer program, Martin anchored the defense as a three-year starter in the goal. A foot injury kept her from playing her freshman year, but her final three years more than made up for the absence.
