John Huston was a Hollywood powerhouse. Not only did he direct classics like The Maltese Falcon, The Treasure of the Sierra Madre, and The Asphalt Jungle, he wrote them too (the latter alongside screenwriter Ben Maddow). He would be nominated for an Academy Award on 15 occasions, winning twice. Furthermore, he helped his father Walter Huston and daughter Angelica Huston by directing them in their Oscar wins (in The Treasure of the Sierra Madre and Prizzi’s Honor, respectively).
