FRANKFORT, Ky. (FOX 56) — Helping kids or closing local businesses—legislators are debating the impacts of a bill to regulate vaping in Kentucky. The Senate Licensing and Occupations Committee approved the bill, which would require vaping manufacturers to register with the state and confirm their products follow federal law. While laws already exist to prevent kids from buying nicotine-flavored vapes, they don’t address disposable-flavored products.

Beshear announced in Thursday’s Team Kentucky update that five ramps along New Circle Road, as well as I-75, are targeted for these unique projects to quickly identify wrong-way drivers, starting in summer 2024. The project is so new that developers are still working on what technology will be used, but there’s already a plan for what it will do.
