    ​While the South East did experience some pockets of disorder, it was not to the same extent as our colleagues in North East of Edinburgh and other regions across Scotland.     OTTAWA – Ottawa Village Council decided to reverse course and approve the pavement of a bad railroad crossing in town after all. During Monday’s Ottawa Village Council meeting, council unanimously approved a motion involving paving railroad crossings on Sugarmill Drive and Woodland involving an amount not to exceed $8,400 from Ward Construction. At the previous meeting, council voted down the same measure by a vote of 3-1 with Councilor Kevin Goecke as the only vote in the affirmative.

    OTTAWA – Discussion on establishing a DORA district has begun with village council which is designed to enhance the overall quality of life for the residents. Jaqueline Langhals, Go Ottawa Executive Director, Gillian and Dan Stechschulte, Go Ottawa members, were present at the Ottawa Village Council meeting Sept. 27 to discuss DORA, Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area. The group is looking for input which they believe would bring numerous benefits to the community.

    OTTAWA -The mighty Blanchard River has been a source of a great deal of grief in Ottawa’s history but is now being showcased as one of the community’s best natural resources. A ribbon cutting was conducted Sunday afternoon at Arrowhead Park west of Ottawa off the banks of the river to open the new Blanchard River Access for canoes and kayaks.
