ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) - For each of the past two days, temperatures in the Stateline came awfully close to 80°, but that’s certainly not to be the case for at least the next two days. Wednesday afternoon, a strong cold front pushed southwestward from Lake Michigan, sending temperatures in Rockford from 79° in the early afternoon to the upper 50s in less than six hours. Northeasterly winds will remain locked in for the next few days, which will limit temperatures considerably.
