The office of the surgeon general issued a statement that alcohol has now been determined to cause cancer. That was depressing news for me as I do enjoy a cocktail or a glass of wine with dinner. We just spent billions of dollars on political campaigns. For our money, we got poster pollution along our roads, mind-numbing political ads, and endless emails asking for more money. Money that went to half of our candidates did not produce the desired result for them. Juan Ciscomani spent more than $6 million on this election. Kirsten Engel also spent more than $6 million. That’s $12 million! You can rent a small apartment or room in Pima County for $1,000/ month or less.
