WATERLOO — They fell behind early for one of the few times all season. They had to survive late with the tying runs on base. This year's DeKalb baseball team is about finding a way, however. Brendan Vance hit a two-run homer to give the Barons the lead, then pitched two scoreless innings to earn a save in a 5-3 Northeast 8 Conference victory against Huntington North Thursday. "It's always fun like that in close games when you really earn it," DeKalb coach Collin Bice said.
