A quick look at every generation of BMW's bread-and-butter model. With the 2019 BMW 3 Series, the iconic model line, dubbed G20, has entered its seventh generation. The latest iteration of the 3er is the largest and most powerful yet, and only bears a slight resemblance to the original thanks to BMW's devotion to its dual-kidney grille design theme. But when you look at history of the BMW 3 Series as a whole, it's much easier to see how the model got to where it is today.
