The Nintendo Switch had a great 8-year run, but everything must eventually come to an end. Consequently, the Nintendo Switch 2 is now the new hot console on the market, one that looks set to (hopefully) maintain its predecessor's momentum. While the hardware is not too exciting an upgrade over the previous console, the platform's legacy will ultimately be defined by its library. So far, quite a few exciting upcoming Switch 2 games have been announced, and this is just the beginning.

The Spring 2025 season has been enjoyable so far. While lacking those big shows that tend to drive online discourse, the lineup has most of its bases covered, offering quite a few great romances, action, comedy, slice of life, and fantasy shows. However, Spring 2025's isekai anime selection is arguably one of the weaker ones of the last few years.

Once in a while, everyone needs a good laugh, and anime has been tickling funny bones for decades by this point. So far, the current decade has not been an exception, with each season including at least a few shows that do not take themselves seriously and are mostly looking to make viewers giggle. While hundreds more shows will debut over the coming years, they will need to produce comedy gold if they want to stand alongside the funniest anime of the 2020s.
