LOS ANGELES -- Ingrid Lindblad took a share of the lead into the weekend at El Caballero Country Club in only the fourth start of her rookie season on the LPGA Tour. Lindblad shot a career-best 9-under 63 in cool conditions Friday afternoon to join Ashleigh Buhai atop the leaderboard at 13-under 131 in the JM Eagle LA Championship. "I feel like if you put the work in, like eventually it's going to show up," said Lindblad, the 25-year-old former LSU star from Sweden.

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. -- Justin Thomas had a round to match the immaculate weather Thursday at Harbour Town with 11 birdies that allowed him to tie the course record with a 10-under 61 to lead the RBC Heritage. The best shot he hit all day was an 8-iron that dropped near the pin and settled 5 feet away. He missed that birdie putt, one of the few chances he didn't convert.

The PGA Tour has suspended Wesley Bryan for participating in a LIV Golf-backed event two weeks ago. Bryan, 35, is attending but not competing this week in the Corales Puntacana Championship in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, where he finished second last year to Billy Horschel.

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. -- The farther Justin Rose drove from Augusta National only made him realize how close he came to winning the Masters. His phone kept buzzing on the way to Hilton Head Island, one text after another, all of them with the same message that applauded his remarkable rally and offered commiseration and condolences for his runner-up finish to Rory McIlroy. Rose started the final round seven shots out of the lead, too far back to think about winning.
