This unusual, late-season nor'easter certainly delivered on its promise of locally heavy rain, gusty wind, and VERY chilly temperatures for this time of year. Highest wind gusts reported on ThursdayAs the coastal storm moves into the Gulf of Maine overnight into early Friday, the rain and wind intensity will continue to diminish. While the final rain amounts are not known quite yet, this latest storm has continued to add to the already wet month of May.

TOPICS:RainWet snowOvernightChillyTemperaturesFridayCloudyWeekendA quick burst of chilly rain showers with some embedded wet snow at times moves through overnight. MOST of us will see mainly rain with a few flakes at times, BUT inland, higher elevations could see enough wet snow that may bring a slushy coating to non-paved surfaces. The timing of this is pretty decent, occurring mainly during the overnight hours into early Friday morning.
