After a year of tracking grocery prices, we've learned a thing or two. Last updated: 27 March 2025 Despite suffocating interest rates and spiralling insurance price hikes, the most important issue in our current cost-of-living-crisis is still supermarket pricing. Surveys by CHOICE repeatedly back this up. At the most recent count, a whopping 96% of Australians reported paying more at the till, and 84% claimed food and grocery pricing was a cause for concern.

In my 12 years of being a parent, I don’t remember being upset by a single major milestone or transition. When we dropped my son off at daycare for the first time, I felt nothing. When we dropped him off at primary school for the first time I felt nothing but the purest relief. I’ve always been half decent at embracing the different stages of parenthood and enjoying them for what they are. But dropping my son off at high school for the very first time was profoundly different.

Prices are down, and infrastructure is improving. Should you buy an EV in 2025? Need to know EV sales are on the up. Is 2025 the right time to get on board? EV infrastructure in Australia has improved, but still lags behind Europe Prices are still high here in Australia, but not as high as you might think If you've been paying attention to the roads while driving (and you absolutely should) you'll probably have noticed an increase in electric vehicles on the road.

Recently a colleague at CHOICE emailed me a document I've become completely obsessed with. Created for our 60th anniversary back in 2020, it's a painstakingly researched list of all CHOICE's major wins since the magazine's inception back in April 1960. There's some incredible stuff in there. We tested pantyhose back in 1970. We disproved the existence of "Sea Monkeys" in 1974.

The most insane part of this is that he does "100s of hours" of research to pitch endless softballs and accept whatever bullshit he gets back at face value.

Sam Harris criticizing me and Joe Rogan is silly. Specifically him talking down to me and saying I shouldn't interview Putin or Trump is laughable. I will talk with EVERYONE. I assure you, I prepare more than 99% of journalists. There are many conversations I prepare for 100+
