Prosecutors in Karen Read’s second murder trial focused most of the day on the timing of a critical search of woman's phone who was with the defendant when they found her Boston police officer boyfriend. Prosecutors say Read backed her SUV into John O’Keefe outside the home of a fellow officer and left him to die in the snow in January 2022. Defense attorneys say she was a victim of a police conspiracy and have suggested he was killed by someone inside the home.
