A 5-year-old girl sustained non-life-threatening injuries Wednesday evening after falling 3 stories from an apartment window. LPD Lieutenant Jason Goodwin told KLIN News LPD and LFR crews responded to the 56th & Holdrege area shortly before 9 pm where they found the girl conscious and moving. Officials determined the child pushed out a window screen, climbed into the window and fell. LFR crews transported the child to a local hospital where she is being treated

A 21-year-old man was walking near North 14th and Judson shortly before 11 pm Saturday night when he was reportedly struck from behind by an unknown man. The victim used a pocket knife to defend himself but the suspect took it away from him and assaulted him. The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Sunday morning about 5:40 am LPD responded to a report of a person shot in the 300 Block of H Street. The 36-year-old Lincoln man suffered wounds to his shoulder and neck.
