During this period, they develop skills, form worldviews and learn how to be productive members of society. That’s why every child must receive an education that not only works for them but allows them to thrive. Where a child goes to school is so important that parents with the financial resources often decide where to live based on which community has the best school district.

A couple of years ago, my wonderful wife, Cecelia, decided that she wanted us to get each other “experiences” for Christmas. Since she is always complaining about being cold, I bought her a heater. It is one of those small, oscillating tower things. I told her the “experience” was warmth. She rolled her eyes, but each winter she keeps it plugged in blowing hot air at her while she is sitting on the loveseat in our living room watching television.

Whitley County Sheriff Bill Elliotte is asking for the public’s help in locating a stolen trailer filled with inflatables that belongs to a religious organization. “It belongs to the South Union Mt. Zion Baptist Association and contained inflatables and other items used by churches for bible school and other activities,” the Whitley County Sheriff’s Department wrote in a release.
