potshot Prominent Member #1 After watching this video and seeing the promise of Dolby Atmos in the home is not being delivered. It made me think and change all my plans to spend my money on height or in ceiling speakers. I have dropped the Dolby Atmos and decided to go for a very good 7.2 system. It seems we have been sold a dream, and the Hollywood studio's are not keeping their side of the contract and providing everything Dolby Atmos should be. Dirac Live recommends using the microphone supplied with the device and connect it directly to the amplifier. But my impression is that the UMIK-1 is of higher quality than the one delivered by NAD. So will I get better results with using the UMIK-1 connected to my computer? Or will it be better to use the NAD microphone connected directly to the amplifier?
