As members of the Columbus School Board, we write to call attention to a critical issue facing school districts throughout Wisconsin as legislators and the governor continue to work on a new two-year budget. Due to years of inadequate state funding for our schools, districts across the state are facing budgetary barriers to providing students with the strong public education our state used to be known for. Columbus is a rural city about 30 minutes north of Madison.
