    Las Cruces police are investigating a stabbing that occurred early Saturday morning along the 200 block of east Idaho Avenue. The victim, a 39-year-old man, told police he was sitting in his car shortly after midnight Saturday, June 14, 2025, when someone approached and demanded the keys to his vehicle. The suspect began stabbing the victim after his request was denied. The victim was able to escape and ran to the nearby Walgreens store on El Paseo Road.
