For starters, although this is strictly subjective, I think the Realme Neo 7 appears to deliver an impressive design and display for its price. The build quality gives out premium vibes, and On the the variable-refresh-rate 120Hz display seems truly class-leading. Basically, it’s the kind of screen you’d expect from a much pricier device. Almost 2x faster than Google’s latest $1,200 flagship for 1/3 of the price?

That being said, the Galaxy S25 won’t be the “perfect” vanilla flagship due to some other conservative decisions Samsung is expected to have made. Which isn’t exactly surprising but worth mentioning. This includes the camera system, which is expected to stay virtually the same - at least in terms of hardware, which is a bit of a shame considering all three of the cameras on the back of the Galaxy S24 could do with an upgrade.

There are so many clear and subtle references to iOS in Samsung’s latest Android 15-based One UI 7.0 beta update that it’s impossible not to make the connection to the iPhone. In today’s smartphone market, the phrase “affordable smartphone” often means “we left out some features to cut costs.” But Google’s upcoming Pixel 9a gets another chance at changing this narrative and (potentially) redefine what “affordable” means. Of course, there are the rumored hardware upgrades compared to the previous generation - like refreshed design, the Tensor G4 chip, the larger 5,000 mAh battery, etc.

Since its introduction in the iPhone 12 series (I started using it with my iPhone 13 mini), MagSafe has massively improved my experience of carrying an iPhone. For example, I rely on (multiple) MagSafe battery packs for travel, and I don’t plan on going back to using a wired power bank. Other people use it for a magnetic mount in their car, magnetic wallets, and so much more. But what if you didn’t have to stick with Apple to get this simple, yet practical feature?
