Although he describes them as glorietas (roundabouts) only one of them is (Los Pinos) whilst the other three are simply traffic-light-controlled junctions: the Guardia Civil/Costa Banana, Las Palomas/gasolinera and P-4 junctions. The accident occurred around midday on the 1st, on the A-92 where it passes through the municipality of Moraleda de Zafayona. The vehicle ended up on its roof in the centre of the two eastbound lanes. With the van straddling both lanes, a tail-back stretching five kilometres soon built up. Fortunately, despite how the van ended up, the occupants were able to get out of the upside-down vehicle without assistance as they were practically unhurt.
