    The 2025 Daytona 24 hours event took place from Jan 17- 27 at the famed Daytona International speedway. Once again as in recent years there was the Combined “ROAR” (testing sessions) the weekend prior followed by the race on January 24,25. The ROAR is a mandatory session for those running the 24 hours. IMSA uses it to gather data for any potential BOP (Balance of Performance) changes.

    Ferrari runs several worldwide series and programs for customers to exercise and race their cars. The main one is the Ferrari Challenge which features a series of races in the USA, Europe, and Asia featuring the latest challenge cars which in 2024 are based on the current road cars, the 296. In this transition year, the older 488 EVO is also allowed to race, but in its own series of races.

    The 2024 Daytona 24 promised to be a stellar event. It was once again oversubscribed with entries. Record numbers of Parking passes, tickets and camping spots had been sold by the Daytona International Speedway. The race would be run on the road course, a 3.56-mile circuit that makes use of most of the NASCAR oval track and banking, with a foray into an infield section starting past the start-finish and rejoining the oval at NASCAR turn one after traversing two horseshoe corners.

    The Le Mans 24-Hour race is arguably the greatest motor race in the world. It started in 1923 on some public roads at Le Mans, France and continues to this day. While there maybe a few older races, notably the Indianapolis 500 and the Isle of Man TT, Le Mans still commands more attention than either of those.
