In Richmond VA, the annual GalaxyCon is the first to kick off the event season at the Greater Richmond Convention Center. This year, it will be held from March 15th to 17th, and it promises to bring in an impressive lineup of celebrities, creators, voice-over actors, wrestlers, and more.

With 2024 now on clock, it’s time to reflect on the best comics released in 2023. With an abundance of great titles and series this past year, it was quite a daunting task to pick the best ones. Plus, with so much great content out there, many fan favorites may have escaped my notice. However, just like in previous years, it is almost impossible to catch up with and read everything available for public consumption.

In October 2020, we showcased a Kickstarter campaign for a horror anthology called Nightmare Theater by Bloodline Comics. The collection featured spine-chilling stories by talented creators. A year later, in 2021, Bloodline Comics released a sequel to the successful book, Nightmare Theater 2, which also received great reviews. Now, the publishers are finalizing the trilogy with Nightmare Theater 3D: The Final Chapter, set to launch on Kickstarter.

Chris Grabenstein’s best-selling children’s book, ‘Escape from Mr. Lemoncello’s Library’, has been entertaining both children and adults for almost 10 years. To celebrate its 10-year anniversary, Grabenstein and illustrator Douglas Holgate have joined forces to transform the beloved story into a delightful graphic novel. On November 7th, Random House Books for Young Readers will release this new version of Grabenstein’s tale for old and new fans to enjoy.
