SCOTT TWP. — In a game dominated by the offenses for 59½ minutes, Honesdale’s Conlan Keast came up with a defensive stop the Hornets will remember most. kAm|@>6?ED 27E6C 92F=:?8 :? 2 fe\J2C5 D=2?E A2DD 7@C E96 8@\29625 D4@C6 7C@> 324<FA D@A9@>@C6 BF2CE6C324< p36 qCJ2?E[ z62DE DA@:=65 2 D:I\E@F495@H? ?:89E 3J {2<6=2?5 BF2CE6C324< s2G:5 }2?:6H:4K[ 32EE:?8 2H2J 2 EH@\A@:?E 4@?G6CD:@? DUNMORE — It wasn’t textbook execution, but top-ranked Scranton Prep found more than enough ways to do more than enough right. kAmp?5C6H s6>AD6J >256 EH@ <6J 5676?D:G6 A=2JD E@ 86E E96 r2G2=:6CD F?EC24<65[ BF2CE6C324< {@F:D !2C:D 7:C65 7@FC E@F495@H? CANAAN TWP. — There’s at least a chance in baseball to pitch around the other team’s home-run hitters. No such opportunity in football, and Western Wayne’s Josh Vinton and Sean Owens put their big-play abilities on full display as the No. 2-ranked Wildcats rolled past Old Forge, 51-14, in a Lackawanna Football Conference game Friday night at Sharkey Rosetti Athletic Complex. kAm':?E@? Plenty goes into trying to stop Lackawanna Trail’s wing-T offense and its running back tandem of Isaac Ryon and Demitrius Douglas. So much so that sometimes the Lions defense is overlooked. Not after Friday night’s effort. Limiting Dunmore to 30 yards rushing on 22 carries in the first half, and finishing with eight tackles for loss, including a pair of sacks, the Lions controlled the line of scrimmage en route to a 28-7 Lackawanna Football Conference win at Dunmore Veterans Memorial Stadium.
