The branding I want to talk about is raising the price of a commodity so it can generate more profit without providing any benefit to the buyer. I guess because working feels virtuous, uses my abilities, and sometimes I even get paid for working. But honestly, I’d pay to work. I think that if I had no better option, I’d even pay to shine shoes. Of course, I’d probably be thinking of how I could open a chain of shoeshine stands.
