Beloved London-based metallers Ithaca have announced they're splitting up, with a final headlining "wake" show scheduled for February next year. In a post on Instagram, the band explain, "Ithaca is coming to an end. This was a huge decision to make, but it’s the right time.

Casey have cancelled all upcoming live dates from July 1 until further notice, with frontman Tom Weaver needing to undergo open-heart surgery. In an extremely honest video posted to the band’s YouTube, the singer explains that he’d battled with a bout of viral sepsis while out in America in January, and it had a “significant impact” on his kidneys and heart – and while his kidneys have thankfully recovered, his heart now has a prolapsed valve, and he’s a priority patient awaiting treatment.
