The Louisiana legislature’s 2025 regular session is scheduled to last from April 14 through June 12. One of the bills to keep a close eye on is House Bill 76 (HB76)—originally authored by Representative Pat Moore (Democrat, Monroe)—which “creates the crimes of felony and misdemeanor intentional exposure to a sexually transmitted disease.” HB76 is similar to a law already on the books in Louisiana that criminalizes HIV exposure.

The guy who used to be president and is running for president again is who I call “that guy.” I don’t hate him. Really, I don’t. I have numerous friends and family who think he is great, that he is the solution to what is seen as wrong in this country. These are friends and family that I do not intend to shut out of my life because of a political difference. This has been so important for me to see. A few years ago, my older son and I had a difference of opinion about guns.

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Adrianna Sabbagh, daughter of Nabil Sabbagh and Rita Moussa, of Dubai, will serve as the college marshal for the College of Health and Human Development at Penn State’s summer 2024 commencement ceremony on Aug. 10. Sabbagh will graduate with a bachelor’s degree in biobehavioral health.
