When I made plans to visit Misfits Motorsports at 2393 East Main St. in Lincolnton, I thought I’d just talk to owner Jason Rhoney about himself and what the shop has to offer. I found a man with an extensive resume of experience and education and a high regard for motorcyclists, especially their commitment to one another’s safety and well-being and to society, in particular aiding those experiencing difficult times, including children.

Brevard is an expert on the Brevard family from eastern Lincoln County, I got in touch with Madam Johnsie, and we planned a meeting. Madam Johnsie lives in Grover. We agreed to get together at the handsome Mauney Memorial Library in Kings Mountain. Visiting the stately home – turned library was a treat. Meeting Madam Johnsie was even more so.
