Marcus King is teasing some new tunes. Last night, Marcus King held a pop-up show at Robert’s Western World in Nashville, Tennessee. Given that they advertised the pop-up, it was not a stop-in, total surprise kind of show, but regardless, the legendary honky tonk was jumping last night with King and his band taking the stage. King played a short set with only a handful of songs, but one of those songs was a new one.

A tragic story with a heartbreaking ending. A Las Vegas veterinarian, Dr. Shawn Frehner, was found dead last month in Lake Mead. According to KTNV, the cause of death has been confirmed, and tragically, it was what many of us suspected. The news outlet reported that Dr. Frehner injected himself with the euthanasia drug pentobarbital before drowning in the lake. The Office of the Clark County Coroner and Medical Examiner confirmed that the death was by suicide from their autopsy as well.
