On April 5, Relay For Life (RFL) held its annual day-long walkathon fundraiser event at Coastal Carolina University’s Blanton Park for the 18th year running; and this years beach theme, “waving goodbye to cancer,” was a huge success. A day of fun festivities like face painting, hair tinsel, games and team competitions attracted attendees as extra fundraising opportunities. The main event, the walkathon, lasted 12 hours.

The second year of the three-year National Eucharistic Revival concludes this summer with the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage (NEP) and the National Eucharistic Congress (NEC). The NEP consists of four routes traversing across the nation with Jesus in the Eucharist, ultimately converging at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Along each pilgrimage route, Christ is carried at the front of the procession. This will be the first National Eucharistic Congress in 83 years.

Bishop Callahan ordains four men to the priesthoodSt. John Vianney, the patron saint of parish priests, remarked, “The priesthood is the love of the heart of Jesus. When you see a priest, think of our Lord Jesus Christ.”Among hundreds of family and friends and with the community bearing witness, Bishop Callahan laid hands, invoked the Holy Spirit and ordained four men to this priesthood on June 24, 2023.
