    More Adalita A handful of Australian rock icons will pay tribute to John Lennon this July with the epic Give Peace A Chance tour. Five electric stars – Adalita of Magic Dirt fame, Diesel, The Church’s Steve Kilbey, The Preatures’ Isabella Manfredi, and Kevin Mitchell of Jebediah fame – have joined forces to perform the songs that have defined multiple generations. The quintet will be backed by an all-star band led by Musical Director Ashley Naylor (Even, Paul Kelly).

    Live Nation is set to enter the Western Australian entertainment market. Today, it announced the building of a new venue to host live music, comedy, and theatre. The new space, the Northbridge Music Hall, will be located on 77 Francis St, in the heart of Perth. It will be a purpose-built venue that opens in Summer 2026/2027 and will have a capacity of 3,000 punters. According to a press release, Live Nation expects to host 120 shows in the venue’s first year.

    GYRO Group has shared big news today, announcing that Matthew Rogers, formerly the COO of UNIFIED Music Group, is the company’s new Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). Rogers will be relocating to Brisbane for his new role, a homecoming of sorts. He joins GYRO Group after his 14-year tenure as the Chief Operating Officer at UNIFIED Music Group, where he played a pivotal role in the company’s growth.

    Foxtel is set to axe its music channels, MTV Hits, Nick Music, MTV Club, MTV 80s and CMT (Country Music Television) Australia at the end of the month. The five channels were introduced to Foxtel viewers in July 2020 after the company made a deal with ViacomCBS. The new-ish channels were added after the scrapping of long-running, locally operated Australian music video channels, [V], MAX, Smooth, and CMC (Country Music Channel).
