    The Lowell Area Historical Museum presents a new weekly online series. Missing Along Main explores the buildings that once occupied Main Street but are no longer there. Dougall & Wellington’s Flour Mills were located on the south side of Main Street directly across from today’s Museum. The mills were built in 1884 by Edwin R. Craw, who was one of the best practical millers and mill mechanics in the state. He was a local miller.

    A lawsuit against Stefanie Boone was filed today in the 17th Circuit Court. An Ada resident, Boone has risen to prominence locally in recent years as a vocal critic of Lowell Area Schools, which her children attend through the Schools of Choice program. She has encouraged the recall of members of the LAS Board of Education and last year filed a lawsuit against the district alleging her rights have been violated. Today’s legal action was taken by Christine Beachler.
