    The Lowell Area Historical Museum presents a new weekly online series. Missing Along Main explores the buildings that once occupied Main Street but are no longer there. The Dougall & Wellington’s Flour Mills’ two-story office building was the first building on the southeast corner of Hudson and Main Streets. These Mills were gone prior to 1900. The Sanborn maps of 1910 and 1918 show a second, small building on the lot. From 1921 to 1927, it was the Tire Shop business of Frank L.

So, she wanted to give them one more chance to shine. “When you’ve got the talent, you have to showcase it,” she says. To do that, Fahrni has pulled together a production of Six in just five weeks. A teen edition of the popular British musical, this version of Six features three LHS juniors and three LHS seniors who tell the stories of the six wives of King Henry VIII.

    Memorial Day is often considered the unofficial start of summer and provides a long weekend for people to camp, grill or otherwise enjoy time with family and friends. However, we mustn’t forget that the holiday commemorates the sacrifice of men and women who died as members of the Armed Forces and in the service of our country. Each year, Lowell remembers and honors them with a Memorial Day parade through downtown Lowell and a ceremony at Oakwood Cemetery. Here’s a look at this year’s parade.
