IntroductionMyopia is a significant global public health issue according to the World Health Organization (WHO), owing to its widespread impact on visual loss, rapid progression, and risks of future eye diseases [1,2]. Its prevalence is particularly high in Singapore [3], as nearly 65% of school-aged children are myopic by the age of 12 years [2,4], and 13% of them have severely poor vision [4].
