Former Omaha Lancers goalie Mikhail Yegorov has joined Boston University for the second half of the season, it was reported earlier this week. Yegorov, a 2024 second round pick of the New Jersey Devils, spent the first half of 2024-25 with the Lancers, collecting a record of 3-12-3 to go along with a 3.12 GAA and a .912 SP across 19 appearances. Coming over to North America in 2023, Yegorov spent his draft year with the Lancers as well, accumulating a record of 8-25-3, a GAA of 3.86 and a .892 SP.

The Colorado Avalanche have assigned defenseman John Ludvig to the Colorado Eagles, the team announced Thursday. Drafted by the Florida Panthers in the third round of the 2019 NHL Draft, Ludvig has split time between the NHL and AHL this season, collecting two assists in eight games for the Avs and one assist in five games for the Eagles. Joining the Avalanche before the season started, Ludvig spent the majority of the 2023-24 season with the Pittsburgh Penguins.

The Ottawa Senators have recalled defenseman Donovan Sebrango from the Belleville Senators, it was announced Thursday. In a corresponding move, the Sens have assigned forward Zack MacEwen to the AHL. Drafted by the Detroit Red Wings in the third round of the 2020 NHL Draft, Sebrango is in his second season with the Senators organization. In 28 games, he has accumulated three goals and 10 assists for 13 points. Over 198 career AHL regular season games, Sebrango has 38 points.

The New York Islanders have assigned forward Marc Gatcomb to the Bridgeport Islanders, it was announced Wednesday. Gatcomb, who was recalled on an emergency basis, made his NHL debut Tuesday versus Ottawa. Although he was held pointless, Gatcomb has collected nine goals and eight assists for 17 points in 35 games with Bridgeport. Having turned pro at the end of the 2021-22 season, Gatcomb is in his first season with the Islanders organization.

Spokane Chiefs forward Shea Van Olm has committed to Penn State, it was announced earlier this week. Van Olm, who is in his overage season in the WHL, is in his first full year with the Chiefs where he has put up 31 goals and 25 assists for 56 points in 40 games. Drafted by the Edmonton Oil Kings in the sixth round of the 2019 WHL Bantam Draft, Van Olm has played for the Chiefs, the Oil Kings and the Kamloops Blazers.
