I came across my old CD copy of Tubthumping the other day, so call this fate, I guess. If you and nine friends go to this and take up an entire row at the Alamo at 10:30 pm on a Tuesday, then you may have a decent time. Even then, your mileage may vary; I had some fun, but this isn't good. I mean, I wasn't expecting high art, but I also wasn't expecting something so botched in both pacing and tone.

★★ In some ways, this encapsulates a lot of qualities that make me apathetic to so many movies getting churned out lately.

"That's the ugliest thing I've ever seen in my whole life!" a little girl (Bethany Simons-Denville) exclaims. She shouts it at the audience, who, in " Seed of Chucky"'s first-person opening scene, takes a queer kid's point-of-view. As she throws them into a toy chest, it's like we fall into a closet. The kid comes out soon after and, in a "Halloween" riff, murders the girl's parents. She reappears to scream at us. It's a nightmare and, before we can fully decimate the family unit, we wake up.

Some stray thoughts here. The rejection of this thing really makes me sad. It's not because I think it's great; it has a number of key issues. I remember people hating this thing when it came out, but it's not like they even actively hated it. It was like ambivalence branded as disdain, which is one of the biggest betrayals of emotion imaginable. And how could you just sweep this thing away?

Sold out, 720-person show programmed by Cam Lewis for part of Jeremy Marder's Animation Adventures series. I put together a 25-minute pre-show, and among the SpongeBob stuff was a bunch of random bullshit from the time.

I’m not really on here a lot anymore. Joined June 15, 2009. It’s been a good almost-16-year run, I guess? That’s more than half my life, dear God. Not deleting this account or anything and may or may not pop back, but for now, I am at that other place. https://t.co/IRogaNjgEm

Started writing another screenplay! *distant, ambivalent murmuring* It’s a bleak, super depressing horror movie! *raucous cheering*

I don’t understand how art could be apolitical, especially regarding horror. Horror is arguably the most political art form there is. It’s literally about who’s coming after you, what drives your survival, and what happens to your body. It couldn’t be more intimate or pressing.
