Wallenius Wilhelmsen has inked another contract amid the tumult in the car carrier sector. The Oslo-listed company said on Wednesday that it had signed a three-year contract with “one of the world’s leading construction and mining equipment manufacturers”, expected to generate $140m in revenue based on expected volumes.

Solstad Maritime is set to make its debut on the Oslo Stock Exchange next week, but there are no plans to merge it with Solstad Offshore. The chief executive of both companies, Lars Peder Solstad, said they would remain separate for the time being after the planned 16 May debut of Solstad Maritime under ticker symbol SOMA.
