They lost both road series versus the Atlanta Braves and St. Louis Cardinals, going 2-4. They can put the rough stretch in the rearview mirror at home. Unfortunately, the Phillies dropped the first game of their seven-game homestand to the San Francisco Giants, 10-4.

They got a good start in their series-opening contest versus the red-hot San Francisco Giants. Unfortunately, the good fortune didn’t last long. After the struggling Phillies offense struck first and put up three runs in the bottom of the first inning, Taijuan Walker had an opportunity to continue his solid start to the season.
