Cardiff University scientists are key participants in a $1bn space mission being considered by NASA to explore the secrets of the universe. The PRobe far-Infrared Mission for Astrophysics (PRIMA) will tell astronomers about the gas, ice and dust around new-born stars, which condenses to form planets, and about how the formation of stars like the Sun is influenced by interstellar magnetic fields.

Virgin Australia has placed an order for eight Embraer E190-E2s to be used by regional subsidiary Virgin Australia Regional Airlines, replacing it’s fleet of Fokker 100s. The regional airline currently operates seven Airbus A320s and three Fokker 100s. Virgin Australia operates only in Asia-Oceana, after ceasing long-haul international operations (operated by Airbus A330-300s and Boeing 777-300ERs) in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.
