    It’s go time! The Canadian road championships return to Saint-Georges, Qué. From Friday to Monday, the country’s best cyclists will compete for national titles. The event, organized by Grand Prix Cyclistes de Beauce, will see riders in the elite, under-23, junior, under-17 and para categories tackle the region’s super hilly and demanding terrain. Saint-Georges is a regular stop on Canada’s cycling calendar, with the famous Tour de Beauce stage race. Riders will have four days of racing.

    Not the cycling news story you want to read. According to a release from Arkea-B&B Hotels, its two main sponsors will not be renewing their contracts when they expire at the end of 2025. Team manager Emmanuel Hubert says the group is now looking for new sponsors amid what he calls a tough financial climate in professional cycling. Crédit Mutuel Arkéa has supported the team for nearly 10 years, first through its Fortuneo brand before taking over directly.

    Vision has introduced two new models in its SC (Service-Course) wheel line: the SC 45 SL and SC 60 SL. These carbon wheelsets feature a 23 mm internal rim width designed to improve compatibility with wider tires and enhance stability. Both models use the new V-600 hub, which includes a 54-tooth Power Ratchet System (PRS) for faster and more precise engagement. This hub technology is also found in Vision’s Metron series.     More than 300 cyclists braved the rain on June 16 in Whitehorse to honour Joseph Morrison, a teacher and cyclist who was killed in a hit-and-run last year. Morrison was riding near Rabbit’s Foot Canyon along the Alaska Highway when he was struck. The memorial ride was held both to remember him and to call for safer, more inclusive active transportation, organizers said.

    Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe’s Jordi Meeus took win at the inaugural Copenhagen Sprint, a new one-day WorldTour race in Denmark on Sunday. It was an important race for  stealing hometown favourite Lidl – Trek’s Mads Pedersen, but he only managed 40th. Uno – X’s DS Emil Vinjebo said the Dane’s team used some questionable tactics in the 240km-race from Roskilde to Copenhagen“They rode to block the corners and slow down the speed. They’re allowed to do that.
