Maple River Schools in Mapleton, Minn., recently began construction on another project included in a district long-range facilities plan. Construction management firm Kraus-Anderson recently began work on two new classrooms and an outdoor track and field facility, according to a news release. The track facility will include a discus & shotput area, as well as a sand-jump pit. The district partnered with ISG to design the project, which has an estimated completion date of July 2025.

Air movement, control, and conditioning solutions provider Greenheck recently launched a new line of rooftop units that merge the conveniences of traditional rooftop ventilators and dedicated outdoor air systems, according to a news release. The Model RT controls temperature and humidity for indoor comfort. It currently comes in two cabinet sizes, the RT-70 (airflow from 2000 to 7900 cfm) and the RT-120 (airflow from 3500 to 13,000 cfm).

Kimball International recently opened a new facility at its corporate headquarters in Jasper, Ind., that will act as a hands-on showroom for a variety of its furniture products and solutions, according to a news release. The 13,000-square-foot Health & Education Experience Center was originally designed by Gensler as the headquarters for Kimball International’s National brand and already incorporates factors like daylight, acoustics, air quality, ergonomics, and employee wellness.

Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, recently integrated automatic license plate recognition (ALPR) technology into its parking services and enforcement strategies, according to a news release. The university’s Transportation Services division deployed Genetec AutoVu ALPR to manage the campus’ 36,000+ parking spaces. The technology assists with duties including issuing and managing physical permits, as well as reducing the need for foot patrols.
