CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – The SEMO Jumbos 18U baseball team wrapped the Capaha Classic with a 2-1-1 record after defeating the St. Louis Gamers 16U Gray squad 10-0 on Sunday. Knox Beard finished 2-for-2, and winning pitcher Caleb Montgomery threw an abbreviated shutout while also getting on base three straight times. Gibson Halbert and Alex Nash singled to trigger a seven-run outburst in the second inning. Brendan Lashley followed with the go-ahead single, and Beard made it 3-0 with a two-RBI single.
